Keeping your heart healthy during American Heart Month

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KTVI)- Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That is one of the reasons why February is American Heart Month.

Jamie Wagner, a program coordinator at St. Joseph's Hospital Healthplex stopped by the Fox 2 gym with easy tips and exercises people can do to lower their risk for heart disease.

Heart Health will also be the topic at the Healthy Hearts Event in the St. Claire Square this Saturday, Feb. 6. Medical professionals will be present with simple tricks everyone can do to keep their heart disease-free.
