WEST ALTON (KTVI)- More federal help is coming today for flood victims in our area. Two additional FEMA Disaster Relief Centers are opening in St. Louis and St. Charles County. People impacted by the floods can expect help on a couple of different fronts.
One of the centers will open at The Immaculate Conception Community Center in the 14000 block of North State Route 94 in West Alton. The other center opening today is in south St. Louis County at the Jefferson Barracks Visitor Center located at 345 North Road.
The centers will be open from 7a.m. until 7p.m. today through Saturday. Next Monday, the centers will be open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. They are closed on Sundays.
FEMA provides grants to those who qualify to help with rent, home repairs, or other serious disaster-related losses. The small business administration or SBA, makes low-interest disaster loans to help homeowners and businesses rebuild and recover.
Other FEMA centers are already open in Pacific and Arnold.
