ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - what will the morning rush hour be like Friday with more snow on the way? MoDOT is preparing for the winter weather.

Officials say they are confident about their plan to stay ahead of the storm. THousands of drivers don`t want a repeat of what happened Tuesday morning in the St. Louis area when a burst of snow snarled traffic.

Accumulation went from less than an inch to a little more than an inch in a few spots. Terrible driving conditions caused hours long delay for morning drivers. Now with about an inch of snow expected on the ground before morning MoDOT Says it is confident its plan will be effective.

MoDOT says it will have about 200 trucks on the road Thursday night starting at 8pm. It will not be doing pre-treating of the roads Thursday night. The beet juice and brine and chemicals put down over the past 24 hours will still be effective in melting the snow.
