National Geospatial Agency looking to move headquarters from St. Louis

O'FALLON, IL. (KTVI)- The National Geospatial Agency (NGA) is looking to relocate one of its largest headquarters to a larger piece of land.

A new proposal would see the headquarters move by Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in St. Clair County, Il. Three other locations are in consideration for the new headquarters.

A decision will be not be made on the new location until next month.

John Pertzborn spoke with Mark Kern, a chairman for St. Clair County about the desire to move the NGA to St. Clair County, and the benefits behind the potential move.

The NGA is currently located in St. Louis, near the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. A second installation is located in Arnold, Mo. The national headquarters for the NGA is located in Springfield, Va.
