Boone Bridge blast to close I-64 Thursday morning

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Blasts to remove the Boone bridge will close all lanes of I-64 Thursday morning. The highway will be closed for about an hour between Boone’s Crossing and Route K. The bridge demolition starts at 9:45 a.m.

All lanes of the bridge will reopen once the debris is removed. This is the first blast to remove the bridge. A second blast will be held at a later date.

You can see the bridge demolition by parking at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex and walking down the Monarch Levee Trail to get to the viewing area.

Drone photography is not allowed. The location is close to the Spirit of St. Louis Airport.
