JENNINGS, MO (KTVI)- St. Louis County police say the person believed to have dropped two overdose victims behind a Jennings strip mall is in custody.  The man was taken into custody in St. Francois County Monday night on an unrelated charge.

Investigators will present the case to prosecutors who will decide if charges will be filed.

Police say the man dropped a man and a woman behind a Jennings store and left them for dead. A passerby spotted the two, who are from Doe Run, Missouri, and called 9-1-1.  Police say they had both overdosed on heroin. Paramedics administered Narcan to revive one of the two.  The other victim woke up on their own.
