TOWN AND COUNTRY, MO (KTVI)- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain, sleet and snow. Precipitation is expected to overspread the region Tuesday morning  and continue for many areas into the early afternoon. It will affect several areas during the morning commute. Motorists should expect up to one inch of snow, with possible ice.

As a precaution, MoDOT and IDOT crews have over 200 trucks on the roads because the precipitation will result in hazardous travel conditions.

Be careful when traveling on bridges, overpasses and untreated roads.

The advisory will be in effect until noon.
