Ferguson police vehicle struck during pursuit of a stolen car

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – A police cruiser was struck by a stolen vehicle Wednesday night in Ferguson.  The incident began when Ferguson police spotted suspicious activity involving a black Chevy Impala with 3 people in the vehicle.

Officers ran the license plate and found it had been stolen from St. Louis city.  A chase ensued and the stolen car hit a squad car.  No one was injured but the squad car sustained moderate damage.

The stolen car then traveled into St. Louis.  City police took over the pursuit but lost sight of the vehicle.

It was later found parked in the driveway of a home in North County.
