Group forms to attract Major League Soccer to St. Louis

St. Louis is kicking up efforts to attract a Major League Soccer team to town.

A committee of nine St. Louis business and sports leaders has been formed to explore stadium sites and funding options. Members include Cardinals President Bill Dewitt III and Dave Peacock from the St. Louis Sports Commission.

Major League Soccer recently announced plans to expand the league to 28 teams. St. Louis is being considered for an expansion club.
