ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The St. Louis nonprofit LaunchCode is making a huge splash in the tech industry.

The organization is offering free computer programming training to anyone interested in learning how to become a coder.

Coding is basically writing language to create apps, websites and computer software. Students that complete the four-month course are placed in paid apprenticeships or full-time jobs through LaunchCode, which was recently recognized by President Obama for its efforts.
