Rockwood district to buy its own school buses

ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)- Rockwood School District decided last week it will no longer contract with First Student Transportation. The district will transport students itself with buses that will be purchased soon.

Initial number indicate the new decision to purchase school buses may be cheaper. Superintendent Dr. Eric Knost joined us in this studio this morning with the details.

The Rockwood School District serves more than 21,000 students in 31 school locations. The district covers an area of approximately 150 square miles in west, south-west St. Louis county and parts of Jefferson county.
