ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Church Officials and Members of St. Margaret of Scotland Meet to discuss Church Relationship with the Girl Scouts.

Officials and members of a Catholic church in south St. Louis met Monday night to discuss their relationship with the Girl Scouts.

The meeting came after Archbishop Robert Carlson issued a letter expressing concerns about the Girl Scouts' values.

The meeting took place at St. Margaret of Scotland at 39th and Flad. Pastor Matthew O'Toole met with about seven women in Canmore Hall across the street from the church.

Catholic schools are among those that sponsor Girl Scout troops.

In his letter, Carlson asked church officials to review that relationship based on concerns about promotion of contraception and abortion rights on behalf of its girl members.

The media was not allowed in Monday's meeting.  Afterwards Pastor O'Toole and the women present declined comment.
