ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Construction crews are expected to begin work Monday morning on the last stretch of trolley track on Delmar. And in order to do that, crews will divert westbound traffic starting at Des Peres Avenue.

Workers are pouring concrete for the final stretch of Loop Trolley tracks beginning at 6:30 a.m. It won’t affect eastbound traffic, but if you’re headed westbound, you'll be forced to detour at Des Peres Avenue onto Rosedale Avenue and then onto Skinker.

Most of the heavy construction wrapped up in November, but Monday's work is part of the finishing touches. In the coming weeks, some parking spaces will be closed off while cable is strung across Delmar for the trolley's overhead suspension system.
