ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – You see them rushing throughout the city with lights flashing, and sirens wailing trying to get patients too much needed emergency care.

However the busiest ambulance service in St. Louis is in dire need of help.

The average cost for one ambulance is $250,000 dollars.

Putting the fire department aside, it will cost the city about $2 million to buy seven more emergency vehicles.

But that purchase depends on whether voters support Prop-F when they go to the polls in March.
