WEBSTER GROVES, MO (KTVI)- It was the original food truck in the St. Louis area and now it is under new ownership. The creators of the Fire and Ice Cream Truck, Scott and Stephanie Pondrum, have sold the rebuilt 1946 Ford fire truck to new partners Matt Armstrong, a Webster Groves attorney , and Beckie Jacobs, owner of Serendipity Homemade Ice Cream.

Serendipity was the original ice cream vendor for the Fire and Ice Cream Truck and when Jacobs saw that it was for sale, she knew she wanted to keep the tradition going.

Serendipity’s tasty treats will be the primary goods available on the truck, but the plan is to expand the offerings to other vendors.
