Police pursuit ends after crash

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – A police chase from St. Peters ended Sunday evening in south St. Louis.

The chase started in St. Peters when an officer pulled a red Chevy pick-up truck over.  The officer had run the license plate on the vehicle and discovered it was wanted in connection to a robbery in St. Louis city.

The officer approached the truck and was pushed away by the occupant.  The suspect then took off on I-70 eastbound.

The truck was finally stopped in the 4200 block of Blaine following a crash.  The suspect fled on foot, but was capture after a brief foot pursuit.

The suspect was wanted on armed robbery and kidnapping charges.

A weapon was recovered from the vehicle.
