ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)- A former St. Louis Rams linebacker and the current head coach for Lincoln University, Mike Jones stopped by the Fox 2 studio this morning to speak about his efforts to raise awareness ahead of the Purple Ball tomorrow.

The website said Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body).

Jones has an emotional family history with Lupus. He lost his sister last July to the disease.

The Lupus Foundation's annual Purple Ball is tomorrow, Saturday Mar. 12. The event is already sold out, but viewers can still make donations.
