ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Heading into Tuesday's primary Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are leading their parties races in Missouri.

A new Post-Dispatch poll shows Trump leading Senator Ted Cruz 36 percent to 29 percent. Senator Marco Rubio has nine percent while Ohio Governor John Kasich has eight percent. 17 percent are still undecided.

For the Democrats Hillary Clinton leads Senator Bernie Sanders 47-percent to 40-percent, with 13-percent still undecided.

"Technically its within the margin of error, which tells me that both races are fluid. They finished work on this in the field on march 10th which means voters essentially had five days to change their minds before Tuesday's primary. I think that while the frontrunners can be happy they got the leads in this poll, the situation is still fluid." said St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Christopher Ave.

The poll was commissioned by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and several other newspapers in the state, along with Fort Hayes State University in Kansas. They asked votes about several issues facing Missouri as well.
