St. Patrick’s Day events bring thousands to downtown St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO - Downtown St. Louis will be covered in green today. Rain or shine the 47th annual St. Patrick's day parade will start at noon. It will begin at 18th and Market streets, and head east to Broadway and Market.

Drivers should be cautious as you make your way downtown because a number of streets, parking lots, and businesses in the area will be hard go get to for most of the day. Highway exits will also be closed along I-64.

Don't forget about the 38th annual St. Patricks Day Run, it starts just before the parade.
The annual run kicks off at 9am with more than 13 age categories for runners ranging from 14 to 70 and up.

Over 10,000 runners and walkers are expected to participate. The 5 mile run is the largest in the St. Louis area.
