ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Saturday the annual St. Louis St. Patrick’s Day parade was held in downtown St. Louis.

Overcast skies and a few showers kicked off the 38th annual St. Patrick’s Day run.

The weather was ideal for serious runners and those who are out to just have a little fun.

Following the run came the 47th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade with a sea of green across downtown St. Louis.

The parade is a tradition for a lot of families in the metro area, with all things green, floats and bands.

And following the parade, what would St. Patrick’s Day be without some good old fashion green beer, corn beef and cabbage.
