Bernie Sanders to speak at Affton High School Sunday

AFFTON, MO (KTVI)- Bernie Sanders is visiting the St. Louis area for a second time before Tuesday's primary.

Sanders is set to speak at Affton High School at 12:30 P.M. Sunday.

The door open to the public at 9:30 am and the event is first come first serve.

People started waiting in line before 5 am in the rain to get a spot inside to hear Sanders speak.

Sanders will also be speak Monday night at the Family Arena in St. Charles at 7:30 pm.

Doors at that event will open at 4:30 pm and it is first come first serve.

Saturday Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz were in town and now Sanders is revisiting our area.

Earlier this month Sanders made a stop at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Students lined up for hours to hear the democrat talk about his views on education, health care, drug and alcohol abuse.

Candidates are campaigning hard in Missouri and Illinois in preparation for the primary this Tuesday.

Right now the Missouri and Illinois polls have Clinton and Trump in the lead by a little.
