AFFTON, MO (KTVI) - Neighbors in one Affton neighborhood say a drive down the 7100 block of Heege Road is shaky.  Resident Chris Edler says when cars come down the road and hit patchy spots the results are pretty striking.  He`s not the only one complaining along the 3-mile stretch of road near his home.  A water construction project done by Missouri American Water has been a part of life for over a year.  Some neighbors say they`ve had issues with their home shaking and damaged car tires.

FOX 2 reached out to the water company and officials say they`re replacing 100-year-old pipes.  The $3.7 million dollar restoration project is one of the largest on their list.

Missouri American Water officials also say the final paving on Hegge Road will start next week and should be done sometime in the next few weeks.
