Suspected pipe bomb turns out to be vases in luggage

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The St. Louis Regional Bomb Squad responded to The Hill neighborhood in south city Wednesday morning for a suspected pipe bomb.

Two unattended suitcases were discovered near the railroad tracks at the intersection of Manchester Road and Sublette Avenue around 8:10 a.m.

Investigators determined the suitcases were not a threat and contained heavy glass vases.
