CRESTWOOD, MO (KTVI) - A south St. Louis County landmark is getting one last goodbye this April, as families and food trucks come together for a final send-off outside the Crestwood Mall.

The food court has been closed and the mall itself since 2013, but come April 16 you'll have quite the selection to satisfy your appetite at the Food Truck Party at the Plaza.

Last week, a $104 million development was given the go-ahead for the former mall. The 1.1 million-square feet of mall space will be demolished in May to make way for new retail, dining, and housing. But not before the St. Louis Food Truck Association stages a goodbye party with 26 trucks serving up food in the parking lot.

That event will be an all day affair featuring among the many trucks, Sarah's Cupcake Stop saying a so-long to Crestwood Plaza, which has been a local landmark since it opened in 1957.
