Overland man suspected of burglarizing his neighborhood

OVERLAND, MO (KTVI) – A Overland man is behind bars after police say he was breaking into homes via pet doors.

32-year-old Scott Burkett was arrested after confessing to at least two crimes.

Overland police say he went on a crime spree throughout his neighborhood in the northeast part of the city to support a heroin habit.

At least five homes were hit over the last two weeks. .

Burkett is being held at the St. Louis County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
