Chicago-based dance theater brings Spanish culture to St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)- Chicago's Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater is celebrating their 40th anniversary in St. Louis this year at the Touhill Performing Arts Center today and tomorrow, April 16. The Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater has performed all over the world, showcasing an extraordinary repertoire of more than 125 dances in a wide range of Spanish dance styles.

This morning, Jorge Perez brought several performers to the Fox 2 studio to put on an elegant dance for the cast and crew. Perez is the executive director for Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater.

From flamenco and traditional folkloric to classical and contemporary, the 40 dancers, singers, musicians and international guest artists of Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater will highlight the mosaic of Hispanic cultures from around the world.
