ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - A triple shooting in Old North St. Louis leaves two dead and one man severely wounded. Police got the call at 9:17 a.m. Friday from a neighbor who reported hearing gunshots.

When officers arrived, they found a dead man, Shawn Quinn, 35, of the 2300 block of Hebert, and a dead woman, Gina Smith, 32, of the 2300 block of Blair, inside a first floor, rear apartment in the 270 block of Hadley Street.

A 20-year-old man was found in the apartment wounded but conscious. Police have not released his name. As of Friday afternoon he was listed in stable condition with multiple bullet wounds to the torso.

Police sources say the bodies were found in the hallway and living room, and that whoever did the shooting came in the back door and just started firing.

There was no sign of forced entry, leading police to believe the shooter and the victims knew each other.

The shooting scene was just down the street from Ames Elementary. A spokesperson for St. Louis Public Schools says no lockdown was needed because the doors are locked during the day already, but that shades were pulled on the side of the building that had a view of the police activity.

Police said their initial search did not turn up any illegal drugs at the scene but neighbors said drug dealing has been going on in that apartment.

So far no arrests have been made.
