Blues rally to beat Blackhawks

UNDATED (AP) _ The St. Louis Blues have taken a 2-1 lead in their first-round series against the defeding Stanley Cup champions.

Brian Elliott turned back 44 shots and the Blues scored twice in the third period to beat the Blackhawks 3-2 in Chicago. Jaden Schwartz snapped a 2-2 tie with a power-play goal at 13:32 of the third period while NHL scoring champ Patrick Kane served a double-minor for high sticking. Patrik Berglund tied it early in the final period after Elliott made 23 saves in the middle stanza.

Brent Seabrook and Artem Anisimov (ah-Nee'-see-mahv) scored for the Blackhawks, who dropped to 28-7 in home playoff games since the 2013 postseason.

Game 4 is Tuesday in Chicago.
