Blues musician Lonnie Mack dies at 74
NASHVILLE, TN – Blues guitarist and vocalist Lonnie Mack has died at age 74.
Mack died of natural causes at Centennial Medical Center on Wednesday. He lived in Smithville, TN.
His music influenced many of rock’s greatest musicians, including Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Duane Allman and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
During his career, Mack recorded 11 different albums.
He was inducted into the International Guitar Hall Of Fame in 2001 and the Rockabilly Hall Of Fame in 2005.
Mack is survived by five children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
