ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Looking for a new way to spend some time outdoors and even get some exercise? Try stand up paddleboarding. Yes, you can do that in the Midwest. It is growing rapidly in popularity and suitable for children and adults.

Paddleboarding helps improved balance and flexibility and increased strength and muscle tone.

Paddleboarders can be found on many of the lakes and rivers of the St. Louis area.  The season opens May 16, 2016.

Shane Perrin, is the owner of SupStLouis, stand up paddleboarding . He is an Ultra-Distance Stand up paddler and had raced around the country in 50-300 mile races.
