CREVE COEUR, MO (KTVI)- What is a Kolache? Kolaches are a semi-sweet wedding dessert that originated in central Europe when Czech bakers dolloped fruit onto the middle of puffy pastry. They were a hit.

Kolache found their way to America with Czech immigrants and they began experimenting with not only new sweet fillings, but introducing savory ingredients as well.

St. Louis Kolache is located at the intersection of Lindbergh Blvd. and Baur Road. They are open Monday-Saturday from 6am-2pm and Sunday from 7am-2pm.
