St. Louis County officer struck near air show in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, MO (KTVI) - A St. Louis County police officer was struck by a car near the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show Saturday.  The accident happened around 4 pm on Wildhorse Creek Road and Greystone Manor Parkway.

The St. Louis County police officer was directing traffic for air show when a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old teen hit the officer at the intersection.

Authorities say the officer suffered a few abrasions and was taken to the hospital to get checked out.

Crews did shut down the roadway briefly.
