Man shot while riding motorcycle in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – A Franklin County man was shot  early Friday, May 20, 2016, while riding a motorcycle. According to Sheriff Gary Toelke, the incident happened on Highway 100, east of Highway T.

James Diekmann, 62, from Berger, MO,  told investigators a subject in a white Chevrolet truck drove alongside him and shot him in the arm.

On Monday, May 23, first degree assault charges were issued against William White, 31, from Union, MO, in the incident. Bond  has been set at $100,000 cash only.  White is being held in  the Franklin County Jail.
