Police investigating double shooting in South St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – St. Louis city police are investigating a double shooting that happened in South St. Louis late Friday night. The shooting left two men injured.

Detectives believe someone drove by the victims and opened fire.

The shooting happened in the 3400 block of Itaska just north of Carondelet Park.

Detectives say the suspects drove by the victims standing outside and at least one person inside a vehicle.  The suspects fired multiple shots and left the scene.

A 50-year-old man was shot in both legs and a 21-year-old man was shot in the hip.

Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police say the investigation is on-going
