Search for missing woman in Fairview Heights park will resume Wednesday

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL (KTVI)-   A search was underway for much of Tuesday night for a missing woman in Pleasant Ridge Park in Fairview Heights, IL.  Around 4:30pm Tuesday, Fairview Heights police were called by a crisis intervention worker, That worker had received a text message from Lacee Underwood, 21, saying that she was suicidal.

Officers researched the phone number provided and located the phone within Pleasant Ridge Park. Upon arrival, they found Underwood’s vehicle unoccupied.

The search was called off at 11:30pm due to the darkness, but will resume at daybreak Wednesday.

Underwood is white, 5 foot 3, 125 pounds with red hair and green eyes.  She was last seen wearing a white dress with yellow polka dots and tennis shoes. If you see Underwood or have any other information, please contact 618-489-2100.
