Extra crews called to west St. Louis house fire after someone drives over hoses

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - A west St. Louis County resident made it out alive during a house fire. Crews say flames and smoke shot out of the garage, roof, and front door when they arrived at the scene on Beachcomber drive.

Firefighters say a neighbor called 911 just after11pm Tuesday. The only person in the home made it out safely, but the home is heavily damaged.

Extra crews were called in after someone drove over one of the fire hoses.
