WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTVI)- St. Louis Cardinals infielder Matt Carpenter is back with the team after being on paternity leave.  The team has designated infielder Ruben Tejada for assignment in order to make room for Carpenter on the team’s 25-man active roster.

That means infielder Greg Garcia, who was called up from Memphis during Carpenter’s leave,  stays with the team.
