CAHOKIA, IL (KTVI) – Relatives and police working the Major Case Squad are urging anyone with information about the shooting of Lamondo Brown Saturday night in Cahokia to come forward. Brown, age 24, was the father of two children. His cousin, Ladonna Glasper said, "we don't know who could have possibly wanted to hurt him.” Members of the Major Case Squad have been looking for the killer since midnight on Saturday. Brown was seen on private surveillance video walking his girlfriend home. He is then seen by himself in the same neighborhood on video and subsequently video shows his body at the corner of Williams and Ellen Streets in Cahokia.
Detectives have been tracking leads but feel they are making little progress. Several shots struck a pickup truck and a home in the area. Investigators believe a small caliber weapon was used to fire the deadly shot.
