ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The search is on for two suspects who police say are responsible for the execution style shooting of two men. The incident happened in the 1300 block of Burd in St. Louis.

Police say at around 7:15 they got a call of shots fired. When they arrived on the scene they found the bodies of two African American men in the front seat of a blue sedan. The car was parked in an alley behind a row of vacant homes on Burd Avenue at Minerva Avenue. The caller tells police that they also saw two black males running from the car.

St. Louis Police say they are still investigating a motive but it appears there was type of illegal activity going on in the vehicle.

The car was towed from the scene and Hayden says investigators will continue to examine the forensic evidence as they search for the suspects.
