ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- An equipment malfunction at a TSA security checkpoint at Lambert Airport Saturday afternoon led to passengers having to be re-screened.

Airport and TSA officials say that around 5:00pm, a piece of TSA screening equipment failed at the C Concourse checkpoint of Terminal 1.   The failure was not noticed right away, and when it was, all employees and passengers were removed from the concourse.  Police dogs were used to search Concourse C before the all-clear.

Some passengers already on planes at their gates had to de-board for re-screening.   Lambert personnel assisted with shuttling passengers from concourse C to concourse A so they could go through screening again.

Normal operation resumed about 6:20pm.
