Alderwoman Lyda Krewson to run for mayor of St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- St. Louis Alderwoman Lyda Krewson plans to announce that she's running for mayor.

Krewson has represented the 28th Ward for nearly two decades.

According to our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, her top priority will be public safety. Her husband was shot and killed in 1995 during a carjacking.

Aldermanic Board President Lewis Reed has also announced his candidacy for mayor.
