SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) – Authorities say one man has been arrested after an armed dispute at a Springfield golf course.

The Springfield News-Leader reports that officers rushed Monday to the Springfield Golf and Country Club after two men brandished guns during an argument. Springfield police Lt. Tad Peters says the men had been involved in an ongoing dispute.

Peters says there were threats, but it doesn’t appear any shots were fired.

Peters says police talked to both people. One of the men was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon and assault.

As a precaution, golfers out on the course were called back to the clubhouse.
