ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The next time St. Louis native Patrick McCaw takes the basketball court, it will be as an NBA player.

The former CBC player who went on to Montrose Christian Prep School in Maryland spent the last two seasons making a name for himself at UNLV.

Dozens of friends and family joined McCaw at St. Louis Italian Restaurant and Pizza Company in west St. Louis Thursday night to watch the NBA Draft and see the young man’s dreams come to fruition.

The Milwaukee Bucks selected McCaw with the 38th overall pick, but then traded him to the Golden State Warriors, who won the NBA Championship in 2015 and went back to the Finals this past season.
