ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Smoke from a Tuesday morning palette fire near the Saint Louis University campus  in Midtown could be seen for miles. At one point, flames  jumped to an adjacent building in the 3400 block of Gratiot Street.

The fire's close proximity to I-64 was a concern for drivers. Smoke could be seen for miles at the height of the fire.

Firefighters were able to get the fire  under control. The fire did damage a power line in the area. There is no word on what started the fire.
