ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - The rain this past weekend put a damper on some aspects of Fair St. Louis.  But organizers are confident of a successful outcome.

Monday started out with light rain showers that later transitioned to a drizzle.

But that didn’t stop Fair St. Louis form opening Monday at 1 pm.

Some 30 plus food vendors opened for business, along with family, and educational events.

There was a burger tasting contest and the Lake St. Louis Water Ski Club provided entertainment at the Grand Basin.

Tonight George Clinton and the Funkadelics, along with Flo Rida will perform at the Budweiser stage starting at 6:25 m.

The 4th of July Fireworks finale is slated to start at 9:30 pm.
