ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - A quote from Dallas police chief David Brown on the front page of this morning's St. Louis Post-Dispatch says, "we are asking cops to do too much".

Ten years ago this November, Belleville police SGT Brough's face was hit by a shotgun blast fired by a murder suspect.  Jon was permanently blinded but survived  because of blood donations. After Jon was wounded, his first 5 days he received 25 units of blood and needed even more in the 19 surgeries that followed.

Jon along with Bob Jones from the Belleville Quail Club invite you to their 10th annual blood drive today. Jon wants to help all emergency rooms and the Red Cross so that everyone heals quickly.

Join Jon at the Belleville Quail club to donate blood. You'll receive a free t-shirt after you donate!

Head over to 8303 Concordia Church Road in Belleville from 2 PM to 7 PM to donate.
