Suspicious package forces closure of Florissant intersection

FLORISSANT, MO (KTVI) – The Florissant Police Department is investigating a suspicious package found around 4:30 pm Sunday near Washington Street and St. Ferdinand Street.  Officers cordon off the area around the intersection rerouting traffic.

One business was briefly closed, but was later allowed to reopen.

It was later determined that by the St. Louis County Bomb Squad that the package contained black tool kit with tools inside.

Traffic restrictions in the area were lifted and traffic is back to normal.
