ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - With all the politics in the spotlight these next couple of months, speaker and event planner, Rebecca Now, is joining us with a reminder that there was a time women in America were not allowed to vote.

A political event coming in September called the "Celebrate the Vote Festival."The event will spotlight a woman who changed the political world for other woman in the 1800’s, Elizabeth Cady Stanton. She was a revolutionary and leading figure in the women's rights movement.

“Celebrate the Vote Festival” is happening Saturday, September 3 from 10am-2pm at the St. Louis Public Library.
