ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Pokemon Go isn’t the only scavenger hunt in town. Thousands of artists are hiding beautiful marbles across the country that are worth real money.

One St. Louis man is helping to celebrate National Marble Day by placing dozens of his valuable orbs around town. Benjamin Cornwell says that one of his marbles hidden in St. Louis city is valued at $1,000. Others can fetch several hundred dollars in the right market. He says that he isn’t the only artist hiding marbles in town.

National Marble Day is this Saturday and over 10,000 marbles will be hidden across the country. It is the world’s biggest marble hunt. The event is free and everybody is invited to participate.
