Police investigate multiple overnight shootings

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-St. Louis Police have their hands full with several different shootings happening overnight. So far they have not made any official connections but say they are certainly considering that possibility. Fortunately, no one has been killed.

The incidents are all being handled at the district level, homicide detectives have not called in.

Police are investigating four different shootings in the city. We have also heard reports of a fifth shooting where someone may have shown up at a hospital after being shot somewhere else outside of St Louis city.

One of the city shootings happened at 10th and Cass just north of downtown around 4:40 a.m.  Police say a man was shot in the leg. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

About a half hour earlier, another man was shot in the hip on Lexington in north city. Police say the man is in his mid 30`s. He was taken to a hospital also in stable condition.

Around 3:45 a.m. another man was shot at North Grand and Barret also in north St. Louis. He suffered wounds in his upper extremities according to police. He was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle. Police say he too is in stable condition .

A little earlier just before 2:30 a.m., police say a man in his mid 20`s was shot on Bingham in south city. Police say he was shot in the arm and was taken to the hospital in stable condition as well.

So far police have no suspects in any of the cases.
